Fairburn Community Centre is located in the village of Fairburn in North Yorkshire. The Centre is managed by a team of voluntary committee members.
Located between Leeds and Selby, the Fairburn Community Centre is a not for profit, registered charity, that has been serving children, youth, and families throughout Fairburn for around 40 years. The centre comprises a community centre, children’s playground, recreation field sports pavilion and green gym, the latter provided by the Parish Council.
Today our mission is to promote community cooperation and unity and empower youth, individuals, and families. We do this by offering social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities.
As a community centre, we try to keep our doors open to the needs of the community. The community committee make all the facilities, including the recreation field, available to the local primary school for their events/activities, free of charge.
We rent spaces for one time rentals, like birthday parties and anniversaries, and also weekly groups, like indoor bowls, Baby Sensory and keep fit classes.
The centre is also available for corporate events at very competitive rates.
The centre is fully licensed for both the main hall and the small function room. Kitchen facilities are available but we are not licensed for food preparation and catering; although we have a list of good quality food providers and outside caterers that have been used in the past.
